Follow This Cleaning Procedure

Carefully drip small amounts of bleach on to the record  grooves of the record but keeping avoiding the record labels. To protect the vinyl record labels use a small circular table mat by placing the mat over the vinyl record label. Clean your vinyl record by wiping it in a circular motion with a moist tea towel parallel with the grooves of the record whilst placing your other hand on the mat you placed on the centre over the record label and applying just enough pressure to keep the record from moving about. You can rest the vinyl record on a flat surface covered with a table cover cloth so as not to get scratches on the record as you proceed to clean the vinyl grooves.

Bleach Will Not Damage Vinyls

Carefully wash the bleach off in running water over your kitchen sink. This exercise will get the bleach out of the record grooves completely. If a vinyl record collector has doubts and feel that this method of procedure of cleaning your vinyl records with domestic bleach that it will damage the surface of your vinyl records. Please note that bleach will only clean out the grooves of vinyls and therefore will not and cannot damage the vinyl plastic remember, most bleach containers are of plastic.
