Most of the musicians came out the catholic control Alpha Boys  and Stony Hill school of music. World War II brought about an inducement for a change in technology to the entire conception of the musical scenario on the world wide stage and the British Empire was putrefying prior to the war.

The British experienced a steady decline during the post war period. Britain was being put under enormous pressure to end colonialism of the British Commonwealth islands in the Western Hemisphere of North America. In particularly the little West Indian Island of Jamaica  blew her own trumpet in the gaining of  independence from the British in 1962 but carried on as a member of the British Commonwealth. HMS Queen Elizabeth II of England remained head of State for the island of Jamaica and of all the Commonwealth countries. The Jamaican people her culture, and her music, began to reflect the new found sanguinity and purpose of the unconventional mass.
