High Frequency of CD Reproduction

History of Vinyl 15a

vinyl records information page with listed online record dealers shops and retailers

Previous Page: The CDs high frequency reproduction is the end result of a circuit assumption in deciding what shape it should be when presented with inadequate sampling points. "Now then, the reality of this scarcely an Hi-Fi sound  in comparison to the vinyl records!" that is hardly an Hi-Fi sound!" With Compact Discs (CDs), you have to cut frequencies above 20kHz (Kilohertz) with a filter to stop the ghastly and horrible 44.1kHz (Kilohertz) sampling frequency break through. Many of the harmonics that bring existence to the music extend beyond 20kHz (Kilohertz). Indeed good quality vinyl records can be extended well above the 20kHz Kilohertz).

Sometimes the vinyl records can be extended to twice that amount above 20 20kHz. and still produce a useful output that is extremely trustworthy and dependable. It just goes to show that a good phonograph preamplifier with the right kind of gramophone turntable can bring far more musical gratification than the Compact Disc (CD) could ever achieved. Here I will explain why that is. A tapered helical known as spiralling produce a 90 degree v shaped groove depicting a length of 500 metres is impressed into a thin disc of smooth synthetic plastic material. Where undulations in the groove walls is stored to the equivalent of 300 Mb (Megabytes).
