An innovative flood of records began to hit the market scene and notably popular were those that displayed the spectacular effects possible with stereo. Wagner's Das Rheingold, conducted by Georg (later Sir Georg) Solti, lead the way in pioneering the creative school of classical record interpretation. Within a decade two complete recordings of Wagner's Ring cycle, comprising four complete operas on 19 recording discs, were available. Again, as with the advent of the LP, a technical advancement had stimulated the recording industry. The stimulation of the recording industry new technology enable the industry to conduct recording an even greater repertoire than was previously available. The 1950s saw a reorganization of record company coalitions (merging). Europe became quite masterful in the recording industry and began a vigorous campaign invasion on the musical industry of America. Little did they realize that in the Caribbean Island of Jamaica; a new kind musical storm was gathering thrust.
