Analogue-v-Digital?

Sound Range of the Human Ear

The digital compact disc (CDs) takes multiple separate or discrete capacity measurements regarding voltage levels of a continuous source in audio waves known as sampling. The common rate of sampling is 44.1 kHz (kilohertz) Note: The average sound range of the human ear is 20 Hz (hertz) to 20 kHz. Digital recording provides higher fidelity sound reproduction which is more than other ordinary  methods of recording!

Analogue Recording

Largely because audio signals converted into simple pulse patterns are virtually immune to the residual noise and distortion that are one of the attributes of analogue recording media. Many digital recording systems are designed to detect and eliminate interfering signals. In order to maintain a frequency response of up to 20 kilohertz  therefore, it is necessary to sample slightly above that frequency!
